Gluten free chocolate brownies
OK, folks, now the latest fad is to declare yourself gluten free, and start buying special gluten free flour at thirty quid a pound - just so you can turn your nose up at common party food. Well, how would you like the opportunity to look down on others at a fraction of the price? I'm here to help, with a recipe for chocolate brownies that comes across as all ponsy and la-di-da. Most of the stuff you should probably have already, at the back of your cupboard gathering dust.
Ingredients
1 can of chickpeas, drained
2 eggs
65g cocoa powder
135g sugar
3 tablespoons coconut oil or olive oil
1 teaspoon of instant coffee
1 teaspoon baking powder
Optional - 1 teaspoon chilli powder
1. Preheat oven to 175C
2. Put everything in a blender (or use a stick blender - saves going to the gym that day) and blast it all until very smooth.
3. Empty it all into a greased 8"x8" baking tin, or use a silicon baking tray, in which case you don't have to grease it.
4. Stick it in the overn for 25 minutes.
5. Wait about 20 minutes or so before you cut it.
